Applications are being called for from suitably qualified candidates who are Zimbabwean citizens, physically and medically fit, interested in joining the Zimbabwe Republic Police in the following categories: –
- General Duty Constable
- Construction Technician and Artisan
- Tailor Technician
- General Duty Constable
General Duty Constables shall train for a period of one [01] year at Mkushi Police Academy.
Requirements:
Potential applicants should meet the following: –
- Aged 18 – 25 years[eligible candidates should have attained 18 years as at 11/06/26 and must not be more than 25 years by 20/09/26.
- A minimum of five [05] Ordinary levelpasses, which include Mathematics, English Language and any other Science subject attained in not more than two [02]
Interested applicants should: –
- Be physically and medically fit.
- Have a minimum height of 1,65m[barefoot] and weigh not less than 55 kg for males
- Have a minimum height of 1,58m[barefoot] and weigh in proportion to height for female candidates.
- Be prepared to complete a 5 KmRoad run in 20 minutes for males and 25 minutes for females.
B- Construction
- Artisans
These comprise of: –
Bricklayer, Carpenter, Tiler, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Welder/ Boilermaker/Fabrication engineering technician and Refrigeration Mechanic
- Aged 18 – 30
- Have a minimum of five (05) ‘O’ Level passes with grade ‘C’or better, including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than three (03) sittings.
- Should be a holder of journeyman class one (01) category, a national certificate or Diploma in relevant field obtained from a recognized institution.
- At least two (02) years practical industrial experience will be an added advantage.
- Apprenticeship trained.
- Be physically and medically fit.
- Have a good background with no previous convictions.
- Technicians
These comprise of: –
Civil Engineering Technicians, Quantity Surveyor and Archtectural Technicians
- Aged 18 – 30years.
- Have a minimum of five (05) ‘O’ Level passes with grade ‘C’or better, including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than three (03) sittings.
Be a holder of a national certificate or diploma in relevant field, obtained from a recognized institution.
- At least two (02) years practical industrial experience will be an added advantage.
- Be physically and medically fit.
- Have a good background with no previous convictions.
Tailor Technician
These comprise of: –
Industrial Clothing Technology, Industrial Clothing Machine Mechanics,
Clothing Fashion Designing, Clothing Design and Construction
- Aged 18 – 30years.
- Have a minimum of five (05) ‘O’ Level passes with grade ‘C’or better, including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than three (03) sittings.
- Be a holder of a National Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Textile Engineering or Textile Studies in the relevant field, obtained from a recognised institution.
- At least two (02) years practical industrial experience will be an added advantage.
- Be physically and medically fit.
- Have a good background with no previous convictions.
Applicants are to submit their hand written application letters with at least two (02) contact numbers, life history of between 450 to 500 words, copy of identity document and certified copies of educational/ professional qualifications in person to the Officer in Charge of the nearest Police Station where they stay on or before Wednesday, 24 June 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be advised of the dates and venues of the interviews.
Additionally, Construction Technicians /Artisans and Tailor Technicians are required to attach detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on their application letters.
