LLOYD Mutasa will take charge of his new team MOWS in front of his home crowd at Ngoni Stadium in Norton when they take on ZRP Harare in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League match this afternoon. The former Dynamos coach joined the ambitious side early this week after he parted ways with newly promoted GreenFuel under unclear circumstances.
Mutasa was tasked to take charge of MWOS replacing Wonder Ngoko, who has been demoted to the position of assistant coach.
MWOS have started the season brightly after registering three wins and a single loss. They take on ZRP Harare, which is struggling in its first season in the second-tier league, hoping to extend their fine run.
After he was unveiled on Tuesday, Mutasa said he felt honoured to be recognised by a team like MWOS. “I feel honoured to be recognized by a side like MWOS, it is a good project. I also have a good relationship with Wonder Ngoko, he is a long-time friend,” Mutasa said.
“Obviously I would want to enhance the performance of the players and like any other team, I would want the team to win honours. The team has a blend of experienced and young players.”
