Manicaland Province is situated in the mountainous eastern region of Zimbabwe. The Province shares a common international boundary with Mozambique to the East which stretches for about 720 kilometres, from Mahenye in the South to Rwenya in the North. The Province shares Provincial boundaries with Mashonaland East to the West and Masvingo to the South.
The Province covers an area of about 36 459 square kilometres with a population of +/- 1 755 000 [2012 National Census]. The furthest point is Mahenye Base which is 318 km away from the Provincial Headquarters. It is under Chisumbanje Police Station which is about 246 km away from the Provincial headquarters. The Province has five {5} Districts, thirty {30} DUB stations, four {4} Traffic Stations, four CID stations {4}, six {6} Police Posts, sixty-two {62} Police Bases and twenty-eight {28} Provincial Sections.
